Edgartown elders Phyllis Galley Coleman, Rosalie Silva Bassett, Sandy Fisher, Bob Kelley, Bob Carrol, Yvonne Berube Sylvia, Ted Morgan, Harold Smith, and Bailey Norton came to the Edgartown Senior Center to talk about what Edgartown was like when they were children growing up here. There were lots of stories, a bevy of memories, and many laughs. This was a rich, warm look at our history of nearly 100 years ago. JOHN SUNDMAN – Author

by Ann Bassett

John Sundman is more than a computer manual writer and the husband of Betty Burton, he is also the author of three remarkable books – Acts of the Apostles, Cheap Complex Devices, and The Pains. To say that his books are a clever combination of science fiction,  molecular biology, religion, humor, thriller plot twists, and real human relationships doesn’t even begin to describe them. Go to www.wetmachine.com for more info.  And read the books!

MICHAEL HAYDN #2

by Ann Bassett

In his second appearance on The Vineyard View, local musician Michael Haydn talks about his music, tells a bit about his website, and plays a number of sprightly, lilting, and dreamy original piano pieces. Michael also preforms flamenco music on the guitar, and ends with Beethovan’s Moonlight Sonata on the piano.

Go to www.MVTV.org, click On Demand, type in “Michael Haydn”, and lose yourself in the music.
